Arrival at the International Daniel Oduber Airport in Liberia.
The Northern Explorer Tour Day 1. Upon arrival to the Liberia Airport and after clearing customs and immigration, you will be met by our driver and will be driven you to your hotel in Rincón de la Vieja Volcano.
Tonight, dinner is on your own. You may enjoy a quiet evening meal at the hotel overlooking the lush gardens.

Rincón de la Vieja Volcano hiking
The Northern Explorer Tour Day 2. Following breakfast this morning, a short transfer takes you to the entrance of Rincón de la Vieja National Park, a must-see Costa Rican paradise.
Your walk leads you through a dry tropical forest known for it’s active volcanos, rich earth and picture-perfect waterfalls. This national park is ideal for any outdoor or wildlife enthusiast and birdwatching photography.
Our hike today takes you through a geothermal area filled with boiling hot mud springs and fumaroles. Smooth gray volcanic mud bubbles and explodes in large pits. It’s an experience like no other volcano in Costa Rica.
Today, lunch and dinner are on your own. you must try the restaurant at the hotel, it is known for the best typical food and tortilla.
Free afternoon at leisure or enjoy a trail hike into the lodge or the pool.

Canopy Zip line
The Northern Explorer Tour Day 3. Begin your day with a super complimentary breakfast, then be prepare for the Midworld Canopy zip line tour. You’re in for an incredible adrenaline rush on our exclusive Canyon Canopy Tour, one of the best adventure tours in Guanacaste.
On this one-of-a-kind Costa Rica zip line tour, you will fly through the trees on zip lines, rappel, rock climb, swing like Tarzan.
Typical lunch is included at the hotel after the adventure.
Afterwards, you head to the crystal clear river for the next two hours, enjoying some exhilaration as we float down in big inflatable tubes. We bounce and splash through class II and III rapids. There are many quiet sections along the river where we can appreciate the surrounding beautiful tropical scenery.
Dinner is on your own. you must try the bar-restaurant at the hotel, for some ”Bocas” snacks and you can taste the local beer .

RINCÓN DE LA VIEJA NATIONAL PARK
The Northern Explorer Tour Day 4. After a hearty Costa Rican breakfast, you will saddle up for a half-day horseback riding tour to a gorgeous waterfall. Ride from Hotel Hacienda Guachipelín to the Oropendola Waterfall.
The 45 minutes horseback ride is on a scenic forest trail, then a short walk to the waterfall. The Oropendola Waterfall drops an impressive 82 feet.
Today, lunch and dinner are on your own. Continue discovering the fresh flavors.
Afterwards and to wrap up your day, you will visit the hot springs at the hotel, now it’s time to relax in the pools with clay hot springs. Finish your treatment with a cold shower so that the pores of your skin can close again, leaving you feeling like a newborn.
Return to the hotel.
GUACHIPELIN HORSEBACK RIDING TOUR
Enjoy a half day horseback riding tour. Ride from Hacienda Guachipelín to the Oropendola Waterfall. The 45 minutes horseback ride is on a scenic forest trail, then a short walk to the waterfall. The Oropendola Waterfall drops an impressive 82 feet.

TAMARINDO
Travel from Volcano to spectacular beach.
The Northern Explorer Tour Day 5. After breakfast and check out, you set off on a private transfer (3 hours plus any stops along the way) to the North Pacific cost your base for the next three nights’ On the coast in the northwest province of Guanacaste, Tamarindo is a beautiful beach and small community. The beach is dominated by a long gently curving light sandy beach in a large bay for surfing.
Today, lunch and dinner are on your own. You must try a local restaurant in the town and look for a fresh fish.
Afternoon at leisure, walk the Tamarindo beach and be ready for one amazing

Sea Stand Up Paddle tour
The Northern Explorer Tour Day 6. After breakfast, you will gear up for sea stand up paddle board activity. The amazing views from the open waters of Tamarindo beach will make you wonder why you haven’t tried SUP earlier.
You will be taught by an experienced guide how to first kneel and then stand up on the board, as well as the correct way to paddle. Once you have mastered the basics, you will enjoy the activity.
Enjoy a free afternoon perhaps opting to relax or take a stroll into the local town.
